Back and forth with this hood issue and this is where I'm at.

Each side is consistent with the other. Fat 1/4" gap on the radius of the hood tops.

Radiator and shell are as low as they are going to go. I'm thinking too hard on this.

Huh. But the back fits properly? I didn't see photos of your car before restoration. Was it the same hood and radiator etc? Did it fit then?

Doesn't the radiator shell need to be higher, not lower? It seems like the center of the hood needs to be higher to me. You might try putting some temporary shims in the center and see what happens.

I've had a few issues that have kept me from the car recently, but am b ack on it, again.

All parts are orginal to the car. The rear of the hoods fit well to the body.

Are the front hood catches supposed to pull the hoods down? Seems the hood latch isn't pulling as it should.

I'll try to remember to check that this week and let you know.

Jeff

The latch does pull the hood tight. My right side fits perfectly. The left side has a small gap that I never noticed until now. Thanks a lot!! I'm not sure if the hold-down brackets are adjustable, probably not. Pardon the dust on

.

Latches and linkage.
