Lincoln "L" Technical Questions

I have a mechanic doing some work on a '23 Model 129 and he asked if I had an adapter for the chassis lubrication. It seems the grease zerks (or whatever they were called then) are different from what is used today, and so a modern grease gun won't fit. Any ideas on an adapter or some other way to apply lubrication to the chassis parts.
