Lincoln "K" Technical Questions

I forgot to add that this ia a 1931 touring model K

Has anyone removed the fuel tank reserve selector valve from the gas tank?

I would like to remove the valve while the tank is being cleaned and sealed.

Any help or information would be appreciated.
