Lincoln "K" Parts and Cars for Sale

For Sale - 1931 Model K Judkins Berline
William Seward
Through a combination of unfortunate circumstances I am compelled to offer my 31 Model K for sale or trade. The car recently underwent a significant cosmetic restoration including a complete repaint to factory colors, a new top, and new front seat, along with several other minor items. However, the car is not presently running and will require an extensive rebuild of the engine to be road-worthy. This is due to occurrences after I purchased the car and has nothing to do with prior owners. I have all of the invoices from the restoration shop and a number of photographs documenting the work and the present exterior state of the car. I need a running, driving turn-key car to do some touring with, but will not expect to get out anything like what I have put into the car. My loss - your gain. Any reasonable offer of cash or a trade will be considered. Please see my contact information in the roster.

Hi William,

Do you have any photos of the car? Can you tell me what the status of the engine is?

Thanks, Bill Passey (831)334-1884 CA

Yes, I have some photos of the exterior after restoration and of the engine bay before I bought the car. I will be glad to provide these if you can get me your e-mail address.

My mechanic says that the engine was subjected to sever overheating and the cylinders need to be sleeved and the pistons replaced. The valves look OK and the bottom of the car was rebuilt less than 20 years and I would guess less than 10k miles ago, so provided there is no damage there it should be OK.

The car would look great in a museum or collection but right now the engine is only for show.

I am happy to report that rumors of my car's death were greatly exaggerated; after a "second opinion" from another old car mechanic I have concluded and repeatedly demonstrated that my car is safe to drive and tour, albeit not in perfect shape. The mechanical problems will be addressed in the new year (2015); and I do not plan to sell the car in the near future. I apologize to all for not updating this forum thread sooner but other issues took precedence. I hope to see some of you at Spring 2015 Tours and events in Texas.

After another successful year of driving and touring my 31 Model K, I have decided to put it back on the market. So, once again the car is for sale. There is nothing wrong with the car; it runs and drives very well and looks very good, but I am getting on and would like to get something a bit newer to run around in. Asking $80k but will listen to reasonable offers. There are several 31 and 32 Model K's on the market right now; I invite you to compare this one with those. I have plenty of pictures and information available and welcome inspections. Step right up!
