I suspect the roller pins are a press fit in the lifter body. Pins would be hardened steel, polished on the OD. Like a steel dowel pin..

Bill, I dont know about the pin, but brian just had five cam shafts reground. You can likely buy one from him. He says that Egge no longer makes the replacement rollers, so you would have to regrind your rollers. Brian also may have a good set of used lifters.

Does anyone know how the small shaft for the roller cam follower is removed? My rollers have some pitting, hoping to have them ground (or replaced) along with the camshaft grinding. I've read about a higher lift cam which results in more power, can this profile be ground on the original cam?
